The electric butterfly valve is mainly composed of the valve body, valve seat, gate, and stem. The direction of movement of the gate is perpendicular to the direction of the fluid. The electric butterfly valve is sealed in both directions by the valve seat and the gate. Usually, the sealing surface is welded with metal materials to improve wear resistance, such as 1Cr13, STL6, stainless steel, etc. The entrance has a rigid gate and a flexible gate. The gate of a wedge-type electric butterfly valve can be made as a single unit called a rigid gate; it can also be made with a gate that can be slightly deformed to improve its manufacturability and compensate for deviations in the angle of the sealing surface during machining.
